The School Art League recognizes the accomplishments of high school art students by presenting them with historic bronze medals for artistic achievement at its annual awards ceremony at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Every New York City public high school principal is invited to nominate one student for each medal. Each spring, the New York City Department of Education Memo: “School Art League Medals” will be sent to all schools and will be available on our Memos page.

All medal winners are invited to the stage to receive their award.
